FORMULAS
- Addition: Is used for adding 2 or more numbers and that can be used with a simple formula:
= A1+ B1 or = SUM(A1,B1.C1,D1)
- Subtraction: Is very used for subtract 2 numbers with the formula:
=B1- A1
- Multiplication: used for multiplicating 2 numbers using the mouse or the arrows. The formula is:
- Division: also used for dividing two numbers by using a diagonal line between them. The formula is:
- Average: we use it for obtaining an average between 2 or more numbers or amounts. The formula that we use for it is:
- Percent: used for having a percent (%) of the amounts you have selected. For example, for indicating the amount of people in each country.
GRAPHICS
- Bar graphs: they are one of the most popular types of graphic
tables. They are used especially for
amounts of numbers, the higher numbers will have a longer bar or graph than the
smaller amounts. They are also called column graph charts. And they can be presented in a vertical or horizontal way.
- Line graphs: they are generally used for seeing changes over time or temperature changes. Scientists also use this type of charts for summarizing important data; in this type of charts we must have 2 axes: a vertical and a horizontal for entering the dates and the amounts for having an exact explanation, for example. The lines can increase or decrease.
- Pie chart: it is very used for showing big sizes between the amounts you are comparing. It can have a 3D effect. There are different designs for making a pie chart.
- Cylinder, Cone or Pyramid Charts: is a mix of the column and bar charts. They can be represented vertically or horizontally in a cylindrical, conical or pyramid form. Is also used for showing changes in different amounts.
